WHETSTONE KIT

You take great pride and care in your knives and tools. Protect your investment by ensuring proper maintenance and sharpening of your blades with the Dalstrong Premium Whetstone Set. At Dalstrong, we understand the love you have for your knives, so we designed an all-inclusive kit containing the essentials needed to guarantee that your cherished knives maintain their long-lasting scalpel-like edge and remain in peak performance.   Offering two individual, whetstones for precision sharpening, The Dalstrong Premium Whetstone kit is ideal for sharpening both German and Japanese style knives, scissors and other bladed tools. Constructed of top-grade corundum (aluminium oxide), the #1000 grit stone is your all-purpose stone to repair and sharpen dull or damaged blades, while the #6000 grit performs as a finisher to return that mirror polish and screamingly sharp edge to your blade. The larger, over-sized stones afford the added benefit of increased surface area, allowing you to sharpen a large variety of knives and bladed tools with fewer strokes, and thus more efficiently. The included Nagura flattening stone acts as a conditioner for both the sharpening and finishing stone by wearing away any leftover particles, and acting as a leveller. For quick cosmetic touch-ups to the surface or face of your knife, the included rust eraser can be used alongside some water to rub away any corrosion or scuffs that can build up on high-carbon and stainless steel knives–keeping your blades looking new and hygienic.

Each Acacia wood base is carefully handcrafted and features it's own unique grain pattern. The wood base serves as both a study, level surface to hold your stones in place as you sharpen, and as a convenient base for easy storage. Added rubber feet provide added insurance and security, making sure that your base will not slip as you work.

Not confident in your sharpening abilities? We’ve got you covered. Follow our thorough step by step Whetstone Sharpening Guide  for detailed instructions, or take advantage of our dedicated after-service care.
